This was my first time creating any clothing inside of Zbrush so this was a great learning experience. I wanted to model one of my favorite apparel items from Fallout: New Vegas. This workflow started in Maya where I used a provided base mesh to create the simple blockout of my outfit. Using this blockout I was able to subdivide and sculpt the details and features of the coat and armor plating. When my sculpting was done I exported that high-resolution version of the coat and began to retopologize it inside of Maya, creating a game res version of the dense model. I used the high-res model to bake the normals onto the game-res version of the model. Overall this was a great experience and I was happy to bring this asset from one of my favorite games to life.
